“MANUFACTURERS AND IMPORTERS ASSOCIATION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (ALKİDER)” was founded in 2012 upon the initiative of 22 individuals from the pioneering 8 companies of the sector, their senior executives, and sectoral employees, operating in manufacturing, import and export of a broad category of products, including distilled alcoholic products such as raki, vodka, whisky, gin, liquor, and products in wine category.

Upon İstanbul Provincial Directorate of Association’s establishment approval dated 05.12.2012, ALKİDER commenced its operations as a sectoral association based in İstanbul. ALKİDER’s first General Assembly was held on 10.04.2013 and Mr. Ali Galip Yorgancıoğlu was elected as the first Director of Board to stay in office for a period of 3 years.
ALKİDER’s mission is to support the development and coordination of commercial and industrial operations not only in the distilled alcoholic beverages sector but in the entire sector of alcoholic beverages; to represent and promote members engaged in production, import, sales and distribution of alcoholic beverages both in domestic and international arenas; deploying joint initiatives with public and private organizations operating in the sector; to represent its members in these platforms; to support production and sales activities of alcoholic beverages within the legal framework and in a fair competition environment, heeding public health and conscious consumption patterns, and to contribute to the overall development of the sector.
In pursuit of this mission, since its inception, ALKİDER has been representing its members in all associated organizations and institutions, including Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority (TAPDK); Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock; Ministry of Finance; and Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey- Committee of Spirits.
ALKİDER is also a member of Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations in Turkey (TGDF).
